Yaaagh, I'm going to have to upgrade my webshop. This one I have now is way too limited for the things I want to add and do. It's getting too "cramped", so still no drawings yet while I tangle with this. Until then, however, and for all you Svankmajer fans----Lunacy, his new film!!

Back to (virtual) civilisation!
Ahhhh, it's nice to finally have a break. Aside from being busy with various side projects, a new, steady job(yay!), I've also been working away with putting together a webstore. And now it's finally complete! I'm a wee bit nervous about posting it here since so many people here know me and will see my nerdosity in full, but I'ma take my chances and do it anyways.

Whole Characters

Still having a rough time with making exact copies, but I'm inching along.
Here are my first attempts at the rabbit and duck. I didn't do much erasing and going back on these, but it's quite clear I need to and get these shapes down. I'll post more of my 'progress" as I hopefully improve. XP

More Random Things

Things are finally getting ready to go after a LONG wait. I have been making dolls for jewellery pieces and a larger set of "Voodoo" themed dolls. Everything I have done so far will soon be available

here.

Here is a little bit of what I do. This is another jewellery doll(scroll down a few previous entries and you'll see the first one):

Here's one of the voodoo dolls. She's my proto'; since this one I changed the eye buttons to black and silver spirals to match the dress and put purple yarn 'highlights' in her hair.

Some of you may remember a ways back when John K. initiated a "Draw TomKat" contest. I didn't draw them at the time cos' I was and still am sick of seeing and hearing about those morons. But when they came up again on the news yesterday I thought 'what the hell' and drew them just to do it. My caricaturing skills are rather wobbly, but here goes. Katie has what's commonly known as "sleep-eyes". She doesn't seem all that bright and those eyes definately show it. Then I see Tom as a snarky little leppychaun. Don't ask why, but he does for some reason.

Lastly, I'm doing some experimenting with more not-gray things and sketched this little psychobilly thing. The markers are crap, so I may paint him later with a better background. Don't know if I'll keep the girl; she's just there to fill space.

Old Stuff

I've been sewing more dolls lately so I haven't got anything new/presentable to post today. This is a cartoony attempt at drawing my dog and cat:

This is a fun torture pic I did for a friend. He hates Type O Negative and likes Dimmu Borgir so I had the lead singer for DB inflict some pain of the TO lead. I originally wanted to draw all of GWAR(his favourite band)torturing him, but I didn't have a good pic of them and settled for this.

As for my side project, it was a long wait for solder supplies on the other end but work has begun! I'll post some more stuff later.

TEC Part 5

I'm only posting these cos' I'm confident that John will never bother to peruse my poopy scrabblings. Otherwise I'd be too afeared to show them!

However, For those of you who have been following the Team Effort Comic at motlos, you know that 2 of us would take turns doing chapters. However, further plans had been delayed since last year and ultimately cancelled. But, since folks have been asking me about my part, which was long finished, I decided to put it here. I did everything back to back so part 7, which was also my part, is drawn but not coloured since then. That won't be posted cos', well it just feels weird to post where Mr. K. can see this old thing, haha. I had a hard enough time posting this scribble from last year back when Mr.K was hardly at motlos, and here he's a regular for blogspot! Eek! John-- if you're looking at these I hope I've not insulted you!

There's lots of "inside jokes" in this chapter, so unless you were at motlos since the middle of last year, you might not catch all of them. XP

Here's my crap quickie of Jude Law. You like? *crickets chirping*.......Didn't think so. Ah, well. It's me only scrabblin' for today. I've been doing more sewing as of late; mainly for my first venture into the world of jewellery design. The good folks at Arcane Nonesuch have asked to collaborate with me for a new collection of miniature doll pendants.

They're super-tiny; here's one of them next to a quarter. I sent of 4 of these, each one a little different from the other to kick off the line. I'm really hoping that these do well. As soon as they have them ready I will put up the link. These folks do awesome work and I couldn't be happier to get to work with them.

Here's my crappy Angelina caricature. I have never tried this style of drawing before, so I *hope* it's something close to what a half-decent caricature might be.
Then these are some girly-sketches. I don't draw(pretty or normal) girls a lot, so I'm trying to practice with them more. It's more fun drawing ugly girls, so I need to work on the regular stuff now.

Then, just for the hell of it, a REALLY badly-drawn, muscular-looking cybergoth and a couple punkish girls. I'll torture you-all with more of my lousy art later. That's all I have for today.....mwahah

Happy Valentine's everybody! Even ugly people need's some lovin'.<-- Well, I finally decided to to one of these after much prodding, haha. I'm just going to start with a few things I scrabbled out yesterday. That top one is not so good with the colours because(1) I almost never use them and(2)I only buy the limited shades available in "open-stock" at the art store. Hopefully I can do better as I try to do more with them and use pencil for the colours I don't have. This one here is my first time attempting caricatures. There's a familiar face or two, depending how well you know your musicians, and a favourite artist as well. Still not very cariacture-like, but I'm, like with everything here, working on it.
Lastly for today is a quick sketch of Bruce Campbell having to tell off yet another "deadite"(Evil Dead fan).

So....yeah. Until another time than now :)
